Why Hike Upper Cascade Falls
Scenic views of the amphitheatre rock formation, Upper Cascade Falls and Ouray along with a good workout are the rewards of this half day hike, located just a mile south of Ouray. Links to the Portland and the Lower Cascade Falls trails create interesting options to extend the trip. The length of the hike, its close proximity to town and good views make it a nice option if the weather is expected to turn for the worse later in the day.
